Bathroom unexpected remodel help

So after downsizing to different home. Just hubby and I. We were changing tiles and removing the tub that was there since this master bath is so small and we never used it. We found the vanity that was there had water damage and it was kind of small, ugly and as I tend to have lots of items out when I do my hair and makeup, so we got rid of it. As we need to install drywall and need vanity, etc, we will need to also paint. We never expected to have to do all this. I am asking for recommendations for paint color, to go with new tile and color for vanity. We were told changing the tile in shower would be costly because they think builder installed tile on concrete and not on pan? We have another bathroom we can use so we are not in a rush. The space where old vanity was after removing tub is 8 feet long and were the tub was us 5 feet wide. I really would like to have more storage without making it seem closed in. I am posting a vanity and light that I saw online that I like but not sure if I should stay with lighter colors and glass to keep it light and uncluttered.
