Ceiling light fixture sizing

When choosing a light fixture (pendant or chandelier) Is there a chart that I should be using to figure out what size fixture should be in comparison to the room size? ( i.e. My Foyer is a 9 x9 space What size should I choose for my ceiling fixture.)

Thank you!
