What is the counter top? Granite?

I have same question. Why does it take so long to get an answer?

Is it Silestone?If yes, which one?

Is the marble difficult to maintain?

Regardless of what anyone tells you, it does etch. It will not be like that picture for very long under normal use. That doesn't mean it's bad-but you have to view the etching as character or its not for you. You can put a sealer on that will deflect stains wonderfully, however, nothing prevents etching. That means rings, spots, markings. Over time, it becomes covered, developing a patina. Either you can live with it or you can't but one drop of OJ will leave an etch that looks like a dark spot with no texture-its like an optical illusion that you can only see from certain angles. No other stone has the soft beauty of marble, you just have to decide what you can live with.

Good morning folks, I've been restoring natural stone for over 20 years. Until a few monthes ago there was no acceptable product in the world that could be applied to marble countertops that both looked great and prevented 100% of all stains and acid etching. Getting ready to build. Would love marble counter tops!!! Where and when will the product be available?

Good morning rlrner, unfortunately the product has just been released a few monthes ago and only a few contractors in the country are certified to apply it. We are one of them and if you live in Las Vegas than we could take care of it. The thing is that it is an extremely complicated product to apply and only the best restoration contractors will have the knowledge and the ability to learn how to do it correctly. Go to YouTube and punch in "Drytreat Vitremela". I know of a few other contractors in California. Give it some time, there eill be more contractors being trained how to use it. This product can be applied after fab and install and once treated you will not have to worry about stains or acid etching for a very long time. Let me know if you have any questions.

I heard to get a honed finish to lessen the appearance of etching.

I've also heard you should get honed in a kitchen as it doesn't absorb as easily as polished does.

The countertops are Callacatta Oro honed stone tops. We have also noted it in the photos material information for future reference.
