My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I think the pubicalyx are poorly understood---the first two photos are both labeled P. RHP, but as you can see the flowers are quite different....one has a red corona and small, star-shaped Carnosa type flowers, the other has much bigger, broader pubicalyx looking flowers and a white-ish corona...the top, Carnosa looking one, has small, thick solid green leaves while the next one has long, fairly thin, silver splashed pubicalyx leaves....the last photo is just a happy "normal" pubicalyx....I love them all! And I've got more buds coming on two more pub. hybrids...who knows what those flowers will look like?
Geez, you guys are ROUGH...over 24 hours and not one comment or acknowledgement? I used to be very active on this forum a couple of years ago and this is my first post in a long time...I don't recognize any names now, which means you probably don't recognize me, but really you might try to be a little warmer and more welcoming to newcomers...it would increase forum membership and might even give you some new ideas to discuss....
Meanwhile I'll just take my pretty pictures and go home because you guys are no fun at ALL....
I love Pubicalyx but my new rhp hasn't bloomed yet. Many many moons ago i did have one that was blooming for me and it had super dark flowers and some pink mixed with the dark. Same as in your pics. Has to do with the heat. Very beautiful. I love the pubicalyx hybrids also. I have a couple myself. No flowers yet though.
I'm just jealous! LOL! I look at all your beautiful pictures and dream! Your blooms are AMAZING! Welcome back, Shelley, keep posting. I love happy dreams.
Welcome back, Shelley! Your flowers are beautiful. Seems like all the forum changes and facebook have taken some of the gusto and responsiveness out this Hoya forum... I myself fall out of the habit of checking and posting during the winter.
I have several pubicalyx... pink-silver, red buttons, black dragon, philippine black labeled 'chimera' (same as RHP? and maybe even black dragon?) Only my pink-silver has bloomed for me.
