Not a pro. If you need and want ceiling fans it would be best to choose a fan which looks low profile as well being mounted close to the ceiling. Nothing with giant blades.

Safety first. Talk with a certified electrician about installing flush mount ceiling fans and height requirements. Think about floor fans or a few small oscillating fans as options.

I would put track lighting all around the room for light and no ceiling fan . Ceiling is too low . If you can put a small air conditioner instead , this way you can regulate the air flow have cold air , or regulate the humidity in your room and heat it if you need . If you can't put a little hole in the wall to accommodate an air conditioner use some small corner fans or on top of furniture ..to circulate the air ...

I have 8’ ceilings and have one ceiling hugger fan no problem but since you already have the electrical up there I would have an electrician install some LED pot lights around the whole space and also replace that entry light

Where do people get the idea that 96” ceilings are “low”? They are not. They were the standard for decades. Until the McMansion explosions of the 90’s started the trend to poorly proportioned over volumed rooms.

There is nothing wrong with choosing a low profile fan if it is needed for functional reasons. Just as there is no issue in adding the additional ICAT recessed lighting that is needed. Just get in an electrician.
