Here they are, with El Nino on the left, Sleeping Beauty on the right. The leaves on my SB are bluer. The Hosta Registry says SB is a sport of Halcyon, and EN is a cross (seedling).

Babka, that's widely believed to be an erroneous registration for El Niño's heritage. Which means its plant patent is likely invalid.

Hmmm. Hope that gets corrected in the hosta data base. AND at the plant patent office. So, do you think these were both sports of h. 'Halcyon' that turned up during the tc process in the US and in The Netherlands?

Now that i think of it, I believe the patent correctly lists it as a mutation/sport of Halcyon, not a "hybrid." Getting a cream-edged seedling the same size and shape as Halcyon out of a not-streaky Halcyon would be a nifty trick. ;-)
