My husband and I are interested in buying land (over 20 acres) to eventually build a house on. Do any of you have experience with obtaining a loan to do this through Farm Credit? If so, please give me more details regarding the process, down payment percentage that was needed, advice, etc!

P.S. We know that it would be best to own the land outright prior to building, but we don't think that will be possible unless we choose to postpone our build for a longer period of time (which we'd like to avoid).
