It will be sunk down into the soil somewhat...these create the path, the cinder blocks create the edge of the path, like a border..

This one is just beautiful, too!! And it is how I was picturing it. I've never seen mosaic done on cinder blocks like this...such a neat idea. How long does it take you to do one block? How many do you need? Sorry for so many questions, I just think this is so interesting.

Check out Pinterest for cinder block mosaics...I haven't decided how many I will need or want...Time differs because each step has to dry in between steps...adhering, grouting, sealing, or I could just use thinset to adhere & wouldn't need grout but thinset has no give for freezing & thawing. So I'll use commercial grade adhesive, & grout it then a weatherproof waterproof sealer.

Use 3 coats of sealer...waterproof.

I once tool an small, old, bathroom sink and covered it with mosaics and made a birdbath. May have to do that again after seeing your nice work.

No, this one was purchased as a paver. But I have 2 molds I will be using.
