The only evergreen fern for zone 6 (that I know of) is Christmas Fern, Polystichum acrostichoides . It's a nice clumping fern, well behaved, can get bushel basket size.

What are your growing conditions? How much shade, water, etc?

There are quite a few ferns that will grow in zone 6 if you have the right niche for them.

Well, I have several Dryopteris, and the commercially available Athyrium niponicum var. pictum (painted fern) which is deciduous. One of my Dryopteris, Dryopteris carthusiana is relatively evergreen and extremely finely texture.

My north wall came with some form of probably pteris but it's strictly deciduous.

My suggestion, just order various representative species and try them out. Location is key for ferns.

I would caution to avoid ostrich fern and hay scented. They're kinda...well really invasive imo.
