Total lemon tree newbie here. Started to get new growth below the base of my Meyer Lemon graft and didn't think much of it...until the leaves started falling off. The graft is now bare and I've pruned all but one sucker hoping that I don't kill the plant completely. Is there any hope for the graft if I remove the last sucker? I'm thinking the roots are too shallow maybe, hence the sucker growth? Any advice tips is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
