There are a number of different controls that can be used. If they are very young seedlings, such as 4mths., I would just mist w plain water frequently. Making sure that they are in a warm location. This will create an environment that they do not thrive in.

I have used Neem oil mixed w water, Blue Dawn dish soap. Usually on bottle instructions for use.

Insecticidal soap can be used.

For large area of plants I have used Beneficial or Predatory Mites.

Spider Mites do not like moist, humid conditions. They can be pesky and multiple very quickly.

Keep on top of it for atleast a month or two.

Hi Travis, Can I just add to the good advice that Rick has said - please isolate the (spider mite) plant away from your other plants, so that they don’t spread further. Also, posting a photo of your plant and a close up photo of the pest is always helpful, just to be sure that you’ve correctly identified the pests. Good luck with your plants :)

I started using neem seed meal in my soil mix close to 10 years ago now. While I have never had a spider mite problem with an adenium, I have had spider mites on other plants and the neem seed meal mix solved that problem. Have not seen them since. More a preventative I guess. All above advice is good. I would go with neem oil per direction.

This spring I have discovered multiple pests. I had spider mites, aphids AND mealy bugs. Ugh. So I mixed diatomaceous Earth with water in a spray bottle and coated leaves. It's supposed to dry to powder form and be easier to apply. So far I think it's worked. I'm gonna stay on top of it.

Thank you all for the advice. I bought some been oil concentrate at the garden center to try. I'm also going to try and keep the humidity up too.

Watch neem on your seedlings it can smother them and turn your leaves black I'm still fighting them .:×(

I use 2-3 drops Blue Dawn Dish Soap in a 500ml bottle w water and Neem Oil.

The Dish Soap is a wetting agent and a contact spray. Wash plants down w plain water a few hours afterwards. Do not want sun on leaves.
