Wow! The variegation is beautiful.

Curious why there are almost all-green leaves on outside. Can someone say whether this considered a crown variegation or had something in the culture caused the color change?

I bought the plant in early December. Those are the top leaves of the plant when I got it and the nice looking leaves are the ones I put on. It's the same as the green looking Rose Bouquet in the other thread. The nurseries they come from are not kept cold and the light us different. Most variegated plants come in slightly variegated and then improve later.

This is the same plant after I had it for a month or so.

I bought 2 of these and a Geyser of Color at the same time. This is what they looked like when I got them. A big difference. I'll take a picture of that one now, but will put it in another thread. So watch for it in a little while. Tom

Hi Dee, often, the crown is the only section that remains variegated with the mosaic pattern. If the AV is edge variegated, the foliage retains the variegation.

Tom, good job growing. Pink Feathers is a challenge. I was curious about Geyser. Rose Bouquet has been difficult. I have a Rose B doing well now but it is very pale.

Is it Harmony where you can go to get named violets in person? Joanne

All the plants I mentioned here came mail order. They came from Lyndon Lyon. I have a bunch of named minis and semis that were grown by Harmony though. They only sell wholesale, but luckily, I have had a certified nursery for 31 years.

I have leaves down of Pink Feathers now, and cant wait! Variegated foliage is def my weakness. So beautiful, thanks for sharing!
