My dear "blossomtime "

Every year when it blooms , I swoon . I love all my roses , but this one is just so sweet and special . Just like I love all the dogs I've had , but Henry my cavalier is my favorite and I tell him often ;) blossomtime is at the top of my list .

Love when it makes a heart!

The scent is very strong . It's so romantic!! Glad I have it . Hope you enjoy my photos!

Lilyfinch, you know I always enjoy your photos and live vicariously through them. I had no idea Blossomtime opened to such an old-fashioned, blousy bloom. I'd only seen pics of the high centered stage. Bet it would be beautiful in a vase with Flamenco Rosita. Darn! Is this another rose I need?

Lily, those pictures are gorgeous! Blossomtime looks like a great rose, gorgeous blooms. You do such a great job with your roses and your surroundings add so much to their beauty. I look forward to seeing lots of beautiful pictures from you this season.

LF, how beautiful! Mine is still in its pot, but is putting on a mini-show! It really matured over the winter. Everything about yours screams ROMANTIC!!! The fence sets it off to perfection.I especially like its buds with their darker outer petals.FrM, this is a rose you need! Also, if you like this one do consider Setina. Again, still in a pot, but just charming with its little petal packed flowers. They would look lovely planted together with some darker ones at their feet or intertwined.

Oh my!!! I had no idea that Blossomtime could look that wonderful!!! The picture with your hand in it is gorgeous....looks like the flower is heart-shaped!! I love the fully open look the best...just crammed in with petals!!! SWOON!!!

Beautiful. Missing mines which had a hard winter and is barely hanging on.

Dave , she will get some blackspot but nothing awful . Honestly this is one of my favorite roses . It is thorny , grows wherever way it pleases , has bald spots where no leaves grow .. but it is so romantic! Thanks for all the compliments! I also love the heart shaped blooms it gives . It's such a sweetheart!

She is the same for me in our blackspot heavy climate.

Lily, I love your rose and your garden is fantastic. My first thought was, "get prepared! I am moving in!" What a joy to be able to walk in your garden at dawn and at sunset. Just a beautiful location and garden. Thank you for sharing such gorgeous pictures. So peaceful.

Haha must b nuts I sooo wish I could have everyone over to visit ! It is such a blessing in the morning to bring my coffee out and come and inspect all the roses before my little girl wakes for the day . And in the evening we water it together... it's a good life .

Blossomtine overlooks the best view from your garden. Yours is so vigorous. Mine died this past winter, but it was probably my fault for leaving it in a pot. I just could not decide where to plant it. I will try again.

I love these pictures! Your Blossomtime is gorgeous. I wonder why more people don't grow it? I planted it on one corner of my house and hope to train it around a window.

The pics of your daughter are so sweet. My kids are 10 and 12 and your pics remind me to enjoy them and these last few years of little-kid-ness.

Also, if that is your native soil I see in your planting hole, then I'm extremely jealous!! That looks like black gold!

I've discovered a gardening show on YouTube called Volunteer Garden. Have you heard of it? After watching it, I want to move to Tennessee :) It's an incredibly beautiful part of the country.

Thank you so much everyone! It sorry I didn't respond earlier , I was away and didn't realize I had more replys. I love that my little girl loves to help in the garden ! I hope she has fond memories of it when she's older. I also hope I can be full of patience when she wants to be in the hole im digging , or needs my gloves ! :)

rosy lady , that is a random pocket of good looking soil ! Haha it's mostly clay . I think my roses like it but it dries hard as a rock if you don't mulch it . I love the Volunteers gardener show! It's a great informative show. Love the garden tours they do .

I wish more people grew this too . It's so lovely . Mine needs dead headed now .. gonna be a big bucket of spent blooms !

Lilyfinch - yes, you are making wonderful memories with her. She may not remember this when she's older...but she'll feel the connection and the love you are fostering in her. :)
