keep doing what you are doing. New growth is good. Describe the care you give it. Water, fertilizer, temp, sun etc

I used to have it in a glazed pot, but the soil was remaining damp for for too long (I think, it didn't need watering for 3+ weeks) so I transplanted it into a terra cotta pot in a mix of 1/2 pearlite, 1/4 potting soul (Organic Mechanics premium blend) and 1/4 cacti and succulent peat based mix (Miracle-Gro).

It gets bright and indirect light from a south-facing window and humidity is around 55%. I fertilized it once with like 1/4 recommended concentration for maintenance (Foliage Pro 9-3-6).

I'm also wondering about the growth habit? What happens when you remove the flower stalk?

Good decisions. Fertilize at 1/4 strength at least every 2 weeks. When the flower is done cut the stalk. Or in 5 months it will rot off.

The problem with growing these in pots is that they spread horizontally very fast. Those growths in your picture will want to be at ground level. In a few months the plant will bend over the sides of your pot and break off.

I ended up putting mine in a large pot with a dracaena tree. The soil line is about 2" below the edge of the pot so it circles around the pot instead of going over the side.

@James I actually have done just that, it's MUCH happier and there are five or six new shoots are coming up!
