I just planted some lovely bright red geraniums in pots by my door (Indiana Zone 5a). They always look great when I first plant them, but by August they are leggy and the flowers are not as lush. What might I be doing wrong? I do water them when soil is dry with solution of 20-20-20 fertilizer. They get all shade but early morning, a couple of hours.
