Friendly bug or no?

Hi, y'all. I'm in Texas, zone 9a. I have a pretty low-maintenance tropical hibiscus (no fancy pedigree that I know of). She's in a big pot, grown to about 4.5 feet in less than a year from being about a foot tall. Pretty happy with just sun and water. Lots of new leaves and buds.

I don't spray, though I do have some neem just in case. She doesn't seem to need it, though-- I hardly see any critters on her. Maybe all the bugs here prefer my roses. But then I found this today, a molting:

Is it something that'll come back to eat my plant later? Should I be checking / treating for an infestation of some sort? Or is a bug like a dragonfly that'll eat pests?
