Overwintered plumerias

I have a feeling I should have addressed this issue earlier, but here goes. I kept my large plumerias in our totally dark furnace room over the cold winter here in Maryland. They bloomed during that time in their usual color — no evidence of being without light. I took them outside today and put them in the shade to acclimate. The tips are a pale yellow. Should I have cut the blooms off as they appeared? Will they bloom again over the summer? Thanks for any help!
