Is it normal for this hoya to have super woody new shoots? It seems to start a new shoot but then it turns woody and stops growing. Some shoots start again a month or two later but others just stop. In the pic below, the second and last shoot are very new and haven't turned woody yet but the one far left and second from the right(with the aerial roots) are two that have.

The ones above are two different shoots further up the plant. It has grown these knobbley guys at each leave junction of the main stem.

It's a oddly lumpy plant because of it.

Also, unrelated but I was checking the pot tonight and lifted it out of it's cache pot.

HOLY CRAZY ROOTS BATMAN!!!! Goodness knows how I'll ever get them out without ripping them off.
