Petal number is usually in a range, so C de L is still a reasonable suggestion since clematis on the web says 6-8 pointed tepals (AKA petals) with wavy margins, 15-18 cm diameter flowers. Bloom time is right, and most clematis flowers unfold similarly to your image, and their photos are quite similar to yours. I think you have an ID.

"Large white flowers, suffused lilac-blue, darker towards the wavy edges of the tepals. Red anthers. Changes to pale lilac in full sun"

Only put one word into the name field since the database doesn't like spaces, so I found it using "Claire". You can leave the rest of the form blank or if you want to see other possibilities, you can fill in as much as you know, that it has red anthers, is early large flowered type 2 prune, etc., but I don't think it will get you a better suggestion than C de L.

It looks like Claire to me but I don't have that so I didn't want to say and be wrong ! I hate to mislead anyone . I love it and wish I had it !

Here is my Claire de Lune. Mine has 8 petals, yours has 7. I dont recall mine opening with petals incurving like yours.

Hope you post the other noids here also. Remember when you are comparing photos that tepal color is the least important factor because the color is often off on clematis pictures because the blue tones often don’t register well, either digitally or on film. Sometimes the color in images are quite far from reality. Also, some clematis change color with temperature or sun exposure or age. Look at the central boss of stamens, the tepal shape and degree of ruffles and check out season of bloom and bloom size.
