I have a situation that I just need some advice on. I always trim back my Spireas in late winter before the plant begins to wake up. This year the snow in New Jersey at the end of March kept me from doing that. The plants are in disparate need of reshaping. What I wanted to know that since the weather is so wacky, would it be okay to do a deep pruning in September or October? Thanks any advice will be welcomed.
