This is the second D. ‘Carol Mackie’ I’ve grown, and it looks like this one is following the same path as the first. They look spectacular, peak, and then die one major branch at a time. This one is 9-10 years old, and last year it was spectacular!

We’ve decided not to give up on Daphne, but we’d like to try some others. Does anyone have experience with ‘Somerset’ you can share? Does it last 7-10 years like CM and then rapidly expire, or does it have greater longevity?
