Where do you live? Need to know for repotting advice.

In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is the best time to repot your orchid.

You would need to tell us more about how you are growing this orchid. Inside/outside, light, temps, water, fertilizer. Your orchid looks like it needs repotting.

You might find that roots have rotted away in that medium which looks like sphagnum moss. Ok as a medium but retains water for ages and that leads to over-watering by new growers.

Some clones make many air roots which is fine, but I'm pretty certain that the general advice is that you should not try to put air roots into the media.

Hopefully when you pull the plant out of the mix, you will find some live roots.

Just as guide, last year I purchased and in-bloom Phal. potted in Spag. The blooms lasted three months and the plant was watered four times.

It is helpful to put your growing zone in your name so people can see what climate you are growing. I don't believe anyone looks at the profiles.

Because you are in NC, I would definitely repot your plant now. As Arthur stated, the media the plant is in looks worn out and wet. You can buy potting mixes online or look in Home Depot or other big box stores for orchid mixes.

You could move your plant outside for the summer in a shady spot. The fresh air is good for it as is the stronger light. To get it to bloom next winter, it will need cooler temps in the fall so you could leave your plant outside until the nights get cool and you see new spikes developing.
