Do the bedding in crisp white with a grey duvet to give that luxurious hotel feel. The scheme will tie in the white trim and complement the cool color on the walls. Keep bedding solid, with a grey/white curtains in a modern damask.

The framed piece near the windows is quite small, either go bigger or take it down. Decorative lamps would also elevate the space.

I don't think you have so much white that it needs to be offset...

You just need to add in some "beachy" textures like linen and sea grass and jute and driftwood. And layer neutrals like tan to greige to give the room a feeling of movement and freshness.

Lindsey is correct. Adding texture will definitely elevate the space, as would lamps or wall sconces. You'll have to rethink your art if you make lamp changes.

On My the more I look the more confused I get. I understand about the small pic on the one side. Possibly find another one similar to the other side with the wood frame? Not much room over the headboard. Could I do a long narrow canvas print? Also the top of the window molding comes right up to the crown molding. Where do I hand the rod? You don't need art above the headboard, it is tall enough. A bigger piece on the right would have more impact though. It could be a painting similar to your other one, or it could be something sculptural like I the photo I posted, in similar tone to the left hand frame. Center the piece on the left over the side table, and lower it a bit.

In my opinion, the drapes you're considering are too formal for a beachy bedroom, and too grey to play well with the tan on the ceiling. Look for cotton or linen; white, tan, or a print that incorporates tan and blue. Or simple sheers, probably three sheer panels on each side. The total width of the panels should be sufficient to cover the span of the windows plus at least another half that. So for your window you're looking for a total of 165-220" total curtain width. Hang the rod right under the crown molding. The curtains should just skim the floor.

Budget is under 450.00, bedding lights drapes maybe one art piece, the rest I'll look for in consignment shops. BTY My windows are molding to molding are 90"h x 110"w

This cotton seersucker duvet set is $100 @ Target. I think it has such a pretty, beachy look because of the seersucker.

I would look for a second art piece that's complimentary to the one you have and bring them down lower over the nightstands.

New lamps are a must I think. You could add a bit of an organic feel with wood base lamps to bring in some of the beige tones.

Or you could add a blue and white ceramic.

Ikea has inexpensive and longer drapes as well as other places mentioned.

I would do a simple sheer with no pattern. The ones I posted from Target are less than $6.00 each. You don't want them to be too short. They should come just to the floor. No more than 1/2-1" above. It's better to get them longer and hem them. Do you know anyone who sews? You'll need 4 panels I think. Can you post a pic of the entire window?

The windows are beautiful and you have a great view. Because your window molding is so close to your crown, another option might be to add inside mount bamboo roman shades. They would certainly work with the beachy feeling you're trying to convey.

I think everything works except the lamp. It's only a night light and it's 11" tall. You need a full size lamp that's at least 24-27" tall.

IMO, I prefer white sheers. I think the beige may look dingy against your walls. The sheers at Target are much less expensive as well. Don't forget to get 96" length so they won't be too short. Please get at least 4 so they're full enough!

John, your windows are 110" so the total of your curtains needs to be no less than 165". 220" is better. So if you buy panels that are 59" wide you need at least three of them. But since you don't want to have two on one side and one on the other, you need four. Two for each side, for a total width of 236". Having more than enough width is not a problem, especially for sheers.

Yes, you absolutely need the 96" length. If you have no sewing skills, double sided tape will hold the hem up!

All great information I do appreciate it! The first sheers I ordered from 918 stated that the rod pockets were 3" they were not an inch.Wayfair took them back and were very helpful. I did see the difference between Taupe and white and will go with white, doubling up on the the width as suggested. I thought going with the nickel finish as what is on the furniture pulls was a good idea....though my "manley" ideas aren't proving to well. :)

Question; Shams pillows are different as we normally don't sleep on them, but want them 'full' is there a name for that fill pillow? The only ones I have ever purchased was at BB&B where I had help, they turned out great and were inexpensive. Having issues online, I did stop by Big Ls today to measure some, inexpensive, But I will bring the sham with me for the fit.

For lamps, I think you're best off to do a more neutral style that doesn't go too theme-y. Check heights carefully, the size you need will depend on the height of your bedside tables.

Because you don't sleep on them, sham pillows don't have to be super expensive. If you have standard size shams, you want standard size pillows to match them. If you have queen size shams, look for queen size pillows.

I agree with lindsey about not getting too "theme-y" with your accessories. They can invoke a feeling without actually screaming it. To me, rope says nautical versus beachy.

The sheers will easily push to each side and stack there with no tie back necessary. They'll almost disappear! That's one of the nice things about sheers.
