Do you really have a choice? The long dresser is better because it works as a changing table, but it won't fit by that door either. I think you'll have to get used to the crib arrangement. Try sitting in the room daily and deciding how to decorate the walls and windows to make it feel less enclosed for you when you're in the chair. I like the perpendicular arrangement, because both parents or two people can be on both sides of the crib at the same time. Start focusing on some art, valences, bedding, etc. and you'll get over the bed sticking out in to the room.

Well, this goes into parenting advice territory but maybe your older child is ready for a toddler bed?

You could push the crib all the way into the corner with no windows, place the head of a toddler bed between the end of the crib and the window. You'll have to slide the long dresser down toward the door. Or move it over on the wall perpendicular to the closet. The closet door might open into it a little, but since the dresser is shallower than the crib and the the closet has double doors it should be fine.

Or you could potentially rotate the crib and put it in that non-window wall with the long side on the other wall, and the other crib/toddler bed perpendicular to it.

They will form an L shape. That is how we set ours up and it was nice. The kids did not keep each other awake which is most parent's fear in these situations.

If you put one crib where the dresser was and the other crib at where it originally was (they will be at an L shape with a space in the corner) then put the dresser where the drawers were, will the drawers fit between the door and the closet?

It looks like the only other solutions are to A) get another smaller dresser, B) do as deco suggests, or C) try the long dresser where the smaller dresser was originally and it will go partially in front of the window. Then you would have to move the other crib where the longer dresser was and put the chair in between both cribs.
