I think I'm looking for something a little more contemporary. Maybe something like these?

52" -- Red Barrel Studio -- Rathburn 3-Blade Ceiling Fan

48" -- Zipcode Design -- Dennis 3-Blade Ceiling Fan

I can't seem to find any fans by Minka Aire in Canada :(

Emerson probably has more contemporary fans. I am very happy with the performance, quality and features.

I'm having a lot of difficulty finding a fan because I would like to be able to separately control the light and the fan. The idea is that I would like he light to be controlled with the same Lutron dimmer switch that I'll be using for my potlights. Is this possible? It seems that many ceiling fans come with remotes/receivers that make it more difficult to independenetly wire the light :(

Does anyone know of a good fan that doesn’t have a remote/receiver (or at least has a remote/receiver that can be bypassed)? Have other people done the same thing as me and wires he light separately from the fan (for a fan with a remote/receiver)?

Bryan, I had a similar problem, I had two fans on same circuit with two separate switches. I wanted to use one remote for the two fans or a remote for each fan. I was told polarity would be a problem and just went with manual, chain pulls for each fan. Call this company and they will help you: https://www.hansenwholesale.com/

I’m not sure if our problems are exactly the same? To help clarify, this is the setup of controls that I’m trying to get:

Lutron Dimmer Switch controlling:
- Potlights
- Light within Ceiling Fan

Wall switch (or fan remote) controlling:
- Fan speed control and reverse
