Hey there! I am no pro, but I also suffer from indecisive anxiety and can relate to what you're going through. Earlier this Spring, I was excited to start my garden and had soo many ideas but didn't know where to start. I also wanted it all, and I knew for a fact that I wanted to incorporate herbs in my garden - matter of fact, as of right now that's the main thing I have. So I bought pepper,tomato,basil etc plants. I did read on companion planting but like someone told me in these threads, don't get carried away with what that as it isn't mandatory.

Don't over think it too much and just plant away. You have the things you need, forget the size of the pot and choose something you would love to see grow. You can do a little bit of all both in pot/in ground, companion planting/not, plant away and most important read&learn enough so that you become more experience and that will bring to you more ease. It's a trial and error journey, but if there's one thing I learned sometimes you don't even have to try too hard, learn to have fun with it and the rest will come along!
