Too tiny to be a sugar bowl. Toothpick holder ?

It's hobnail depression glass.

Wow I think you'really right. I did a Google search and found the exact same glass. It must have come from a creme and sugar set. So is that common for depression glass to have a seam on the side's of it?

That's not a seam. It is a parting line where the two halves of the mold met.

How many pieces did you get for $16?

In the original post I thought I uploaded a picture of more stuff which would have brought it to a total of 18 bucks. I keep wanting to take the picture agilain but I've just been really busy. I think I'm going to edit the first post so it doesn't cause anymore confusion.

Nothing to compare it for size but during the time that this type of glass was made servings were much smaller. I have my parents collection of glass from this era and most would only hold about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of sugar. There were larger sizes but remember that many of these came in packages of things like cereal and flour. If you look at tableware of this period most are much smaller than todays standard sizes.

Actually during the time that glass was made sugar bowls were generally larger....
