Yes. I think the living room drapes are staying. It's a huge room and needs the softness. They style is formal but the pattern is a little more casual with the circles. I hated them at first but with the solid furniture they are okay. I've ordered a 10' X 8' ivory carpet to go under the sofa, coffee table, and two chairs at the end of the room. That should lighten up the space. FYI - The sofas are 8.5' each. Thanks so much for all the advice. 8 chairs are such an investment.

Another idea, if you like the idea of a metal frame: you might be able to find a great chair through a patio furniture manufacturer.

They're not too bad, but I think they're a bit "french", in the curvy, detailed sense of the word (lol, does that make sense?) I think you could do better.

Yes, I think those Ballard chairs have the straighter, more classic lines. I actually like the simplicity of the Gramercy, but the tufting does match your other furniture!

FYI They make copper chairs? Not sure how comfortable they would be nor am I recommending this chair but I thought it was interesting.

Late to the conversation but I've done this before and these Rattan chairs are stunning with the copper table. Simple enough to not take center stage but substantial enough to hold their own. Unfortunately company I got them from years ago out of business, but if you like the look I could check around.

Also late to this conversation, but ip for what it's worth, I like your existing chairs (although I'd change the fabric). In particular, I like the leg shape--compliments the table legs quite well.

I would take a sample of the copper, go to a design center and find a wonderful rather nubby fabric with a design you like -- maybe an ikat -- that goes with the table, then choose a high back plain comfortable chair and upholster with your new fabric. Blue, cream, and the copper look great together. Maybe two of the chairs could be arm chairs.

For Ikat fabric, look up Lewis and Sheron Textiles. I particularly like the MAWA Design A/JRUO2. I think you need something soft next to the table. Comfort is important too.

Hi....I would never give up Chippendale chairs, I would suggest a heavily textured fabric for new seat cushions
in a neutral, a bit cushier than you have, the floor is dark enough without adding black chairs. I would also change the paint color and window treatments, those few changes will make a huge difference. Wallpaper is another
possibility.

Thanks for all the great advice. I think I am going with the first pic (spanish). The second choice is the Tommy Bahama chair. Such different styles but similar colors. Price is the same for either. I love the height and the leather seat (easy to keep clean) on the spanish chairs and I love the slats on the back of the TB chairs. Thoughts?

I like your first choice. It seems to go with with your credenza and fire place mantel, bringing out the wood is a good idea. Can't see to much of the detail of the chair, but it seems to have beautiful carvings. I even like the two colors together. Congrats I think you have done it!

I bought the chairs from Laurie's in Tomball.

I would probably work with something in iron & leather. No to French styles on this. Most of all, I think that gorgeous table could find a place in my home! hahahaaha. love it.

They are all good choices. I have the ones on the top row. The others will work great too. I had a problem finding any used options because I needed 8 chairs. Don't think you can miss with any of those options. Good luck.

I looked your chair at Laurie's, but wonder if too rustic with my light fixture. I love the AICO Bella Cera chairs, but they are pricey. I might just them them, anyway. Hard decision, isn't it?

steer clear of warm toned, wood toned chairs. They'll blend in too much with your table and be lost, no matter how weighty or tall. I'd go with something crisp and black. or another solid dark color. deep hunter green would offset this beautifully. or a navy color. I'd keep the lines very basic and tall. nothing upholstered or poofy. Something like this would be my preference. We have some of these and they're comfortable and versatile.

If you absolutely MUST have an upholstered chair, go for a crisp unfussy look like a tight weave black linen fabric or a bonded leather. Something like this.

I would not go with anything too detailed because that detail will take away the attention from the awesome table. I'd also use clean modern black dishes on this table.

It looks huge. But nice. Add fabric chairs with a skirt. (Fabric to floor). In a iridescence, cooper fabric, almost pearl like. Do 6-8 don't have too many. Area rug would have to be round and large in a print with rust, creams, and cooper. A 10 ft. I would paint a dark cream. Add panels to windows in same fabric, floor to ceiling very full have them cover window. Add art or mirror to walls.

The table has a rustic look with rod iron. Another idea would be big tall fabric chairs with a nail head trim dark legs, spanish look. in a rust color, a print would work too. . Big 24-28" seats use only 6. Then on windows. Add bamboo shade in dark brown and a print panels on ends, in color from chairs. Area rug and paint that yellow is not working with table. Cream or taupe is best.

Don't waste money on painting or recovering existing chairs. You could sell them, and use towards new ones. Go on line look for Spanish look furniture. Then find a store that carries them. They are out there. Do have Ashley furn near you? They have look.

Don't like above chairs not big enough. Yet another idea. Go to Pier and World market, a dark woven tall back may work. You can buy try and return. Until you see by table hard to tell. Most store will let you return, but check first. Again I would stick to 6 after that point it starts to look like conference table at the U.N.

On chairs above 2 nd one may work.
