Awww, Julie - as nice as these plants are (you grew them so well) and as pretty as the blooms are, I know how disappointed you must be that they are not true. Drat it! I hate when this happens.

That is the typical sport of Rebel's Splatter Kake. The same thing happened to me from a plant start. It is a named sport called Rebel's Night Breezes. Mine continues to bloom as the sport. I was also disappointed.

As for blooms that are blue and white, they commonly sport to either solid blue or pure white. Joanne

Snow Edelweiss is from a leave. Rebels Splatter Kake was a plug. But I can’t remember where I bought it. I have another baby from a leave. I hope I get better luck with this one.

My "Snow" sported too. Mine didn't go all white though. I debudded/debloomed mine hoping to shock it back to its original description but no cigar. I am going to get another one somewhere down the road and try again.

Playful Spectrum...it very rarely comes true from a leaf.

Jeff - you can sing and dance, do karaoke in red socks and nothing else, cross dress or dress as a clown. You cannot shock the sport back. Usually the sport is less complex than the original. You scare it - it will turn solid color. One way street, dude....

I do have a bloom true playful spectrum. It continues to bloom. Very pretty.

It is a super pretty plant. Watch for the suckers - they mostly bloom true when rooted.

Now you tell me. I can say this, I shocked everybody and everything within earshot but that plant with my song and dance. No cigar.

I have now, mostly dismantled the plant. All but the crown and a few tiny leaflets have been placed into clamshells for propagation efforts.

Im going to keep an eye our for a good source of a "playful spectrum".

Same here with Snow Jewel. So now I try to buy solid blue or solid white with proven ancestry. It helped when I researched the genetics and learned the white and blue are likely to revert to the blue ancestor.

However, when a dark purple and white Optimara, went solid white, I was shocked. I think it was called Cora and I think Irina explained. Otherwise, I would have thought it was elves. Joanne

My Cora went all white. Now I have started over with Rosie’s leaves. Will see if they turn out to be true.

Of 4 Cora, only one was decent.
