Mikelite is a medium dark red-purple with an almost magenta bar.

Betty Corning has light purple wide bells.

Ville de Lyon doesn’t get larger than 12’ in my garden, but Clematis on the Web says it can get to 5 meters. Since your growing season is likely similar to mine it may stay within the desired height. Rounded petals, two tone cerise and pink

Little Bas is nodding medium purple and white wide bells

All of the above are type 3/hard prune plants that in my garden have a lot of blooms and full plants.

The three most successful type 2 plants I have grown are Piilu AKA Little duckling, Rebecca, and HF Young. They all bloom earlier than the type 3s and for me all of them have a large number of large flowers.

Thanks:) I am looking these up tonight. They sound lovely, especially Little Bas. Trying to switch up my go to colors and get out of my dark purple zone. You have me thinking.....I should also consider flower form as well, to bring in additional looks and texture. And I am liking the idea of prune type 3 the best.

One more I forgot, Venosa Violacea has purple and white flowers. Again, CotW says it will get larger than I see it in my garden, up to 4 meters, but it stays below 12’ in my garden.

I'm a novice and this is my 2nd year for Huldine. It bloomed last year too. Class 3.

It's about 6 feet tall. I have two purple clematis and the color simply doesn't stand out.

These are all just beautiful! The color of Rebecca, the shape of Betty, and the fullness of Huldine. Thank you all for the information provided so far. It is very helpful and enjoyable!

For me so far, Prince Charles doesn’t have a particularly long bloom season, but it is fairly full while it is blooming. Mine hasn’t started yet for this year.

I got a Margaret Hunt this year because of Lily’s. I hope mine grows up as pretty!
