Spring blooms 18

Sedona-New for me this year. I eye-balled it all last summer and this year finally gave in and bought it. It’s already a favorite. Nothing slows it down!
Royal jubilee-My first DA. Bare root from their website. It’s been so prolific! I’m loving the peony like blooms.
Neither one has really had too much problem with BS or thrips- but I do spray. RJ does seem a little sensitive to sun scorching tho.

Why did it move my photos out of order?! Lol. Top is RJ then Sedona then RJ and Sedona again. Annoying.
Mr Lincoln - this will be his 3rd year. Bare root from heirloom. It’s been a stingy bloomer. He has this year to prove himself.
Eden-Bare-root from the DA website. It’s the rose that got me into roses. 1st year. I’ve heard it can be a slow grower. So I haven’t been expecting much but it’s got 5 buds and already 3ft. So it’s coming along.

Actually I’m not sure if the photos moved or not. On the app they are out of order but on the actual webpage they are correct. I give up. Lol.
Distant Drums- 3rd year. Always a favorite. It died back the ground this winter. So it’s regrowing from scratch. It’s so little compared to last year.
Margret Merrill- Body bag at Walmart. I needed a white rose and had been tossing this and sugarmoon back and forth. So when I saw it I figured why not. The smell is out of this world, but I cannot keep thrips out of it. I spray and even tried neem oil but all that did was damage the new foliage.

Octoberfest- 3rd year. It was more orange last year but this year has gone full neon pink. The scent is awesome It wasn’t a problem with trips until the Margaret Merrill came into my garden. Now it’s just as bad. Horrible issues with BS. Defoliates by end of the summer. No matter what I do. It’s been on the chopping block for awhile so this might be its last year.
Dreams come true-first year. Impulse buy. And do I already regret it. Already fighting BS. the fully open blooms aren’t my favorite. And the pink is a lot more saturated then when I bought it. So there’s a lot of neon pink in my garden.
Just now realizing they’re both weeks roses from the same local nursery. Maybe I don’t do well with weeks?

Wonderful roses!!! I especially love your Sedona!!!!! I've read that the scent is strong and like pear. What do you think of the fragrance???

The fragrance is nice but honestly I’ve always been bad at describing flower fragrances. It’s not the classic rose scent to be sure but fruity/floral. I love it because it always looks like it’s lit from within.

Blooms last a long time as well.

Also have to include a much better Eden photo to show it off.

I agree with rosecanadian that Eden is fab.
