Nice looking tree. I would remove the stake when you transplant it; and keep it away from your dog... dog urine is too concentrated and near fatal for such a size tree.

Pretty tree. Does the tag say semi dwarf anywhere? Is that a premium?

I would order more trees from FW if I know they’d look like that! It looks like a entry pot. I’m curious to know what size it is too.

John- my trees are in an indoor greenhouse under lights. Doggies watch when I transplant but don't get close enough to the trees to even sniff. They save their pee for the beach.

Denise and Alanna- it's entry and a very mature entry I guess. The tag says dwarf. Sure pleased with FW. Get a Pixie Alanna!

I am happy for you that the tree is a dwarf. Many of my trees came with a tag saying semi-dwarf. Premiums are in stock as this posting. Why didn't you get the premium? Your tree is fuller than my NZL so you got a good deal.

Thanks Denise. I didn't get premium, because I've decided that I like the younger ones better- I can watch them grow. Because I grow indoors I'm not so much interested in maturity, but in enjoying the challenge of just raising them. The premium ones I've received have been lovely but they are all over the hump of their youth which I really like. This one is like the "choice" used to be, yes?

And yes, the ST I received recently was really small, just barely 12". But had the feeling that at the time FW was trying to accommodate all the demand for them and released as soon as they reached the bare minimum requirement. Maybe the same with your NZL. Was fine as that tree is bursting now.

I had the weirdest thing happen with FW a few months back. A variegated calamondin showed up at my door. I had not ordered it. They may have been sending as an appeasement for some sad ones I'd received late last year, or I have a secret Santa somewhere. It's a nice little tree.

petuniafish, I think you are correct in your assessment of your tree being a "choice" as my entry level NZL is just a stick with one branch. lol. As for your free tree, I think you just got lucky. A friend of mine received a free Sunburst from Harris Nursery. She ordered and received one previously and a couple of months later another arrived. Why can't I be so lucky? lol.

I see FW pixies every where. I am tempted to trade in my sad looking pixie for a better one. It's been in the ground a year and hasn't done much. Still alive.

Thanks so much Vlad. Daisy isn't Sam (like no dog could be your Louie), but she's a great doggie. We rescued her from a raided puppy mill. She was in a cage having spent her 3 years of life being continually pregnant. Now she spends her days running the beach and watching me tend my citrus :-)

Oh that tree is gorgeous...I AM jealous ;) I am happy for you and am sure it will be a great tree. Mine at least is sprouting new growth. Those puppies are adorable too :)
