Is this new construction or teardown remodel, I'm trying to figure out how you go to this place? why can't you flip it all since there will be plumbing by the kitchen, put the bathroom at that end.

this also gets you away from the noise and the smells of the kitchen and gives you a "private entry" down the hall, expands the master bath as well.

You have experienced the importance of getting the spacial relationships right before getting into details. Some of your spaces seem tight while others seem overly large. The engagement of an architect would have been very beneficial.

actually no i do not have a window eliminated, kept them all, I would rather enter through the mudroom then through the middle of the kitchen. the master should be on the other side of the plan. HKO what would you do ? You could also add a window to the right exterior wall .

RL is wrong and right. There IS a window eliminated in the bedroom since there's only one exterior wall, but by all means the master should be on the other side, with windows on the back AND side. Simply flipping the master with the other two bedrooms will result in a much better plan: quieter and further from the garage and kitchen/laundry noise. There are other aspects of the plan which could also be improved. Perhaps it's not too late to bring in an architect

How are you expecting to place furniture in the open areas around the kitchen?

I also think the corner fireplace is a bit strange.

My current master entrance is right off the foyer/dining room and I HATE it. If I leave my door open people can see my messy bedroom from the back door, kitchen, and living room. When we built our addition we included a hallway to the master which gives us some privacy and separation from the main living areas.
