Generally, yes. However, if they are the potted gift type minis having several rose plantlets jammed into each pot, with a flower or two blooming on each plantlet, they may have winter hardiness issues in zone 7, being bred primarily for the gift rose/florist trade.

If they are in ground, garden bred minis they should have minimal/insignificant winter damage for you, there in NJ.

Do you know the named varieties of your minis? If so, please tell. Knowing what varieties they are, will help determine what their winter survival prospects are.

I planted 4 minis bought from walmart last year. Three of them survived from the harsh winter with protection& lot of snow coverage in zone 5 Montreal. Minis are all own roots which are more hardy than others in colder area.

Lige, I just bought a couple & put them in the corner of a little border (stole some space where my landlady’s mint plants died off over winter). The good news is that if they live, I can winterize them with snow cover. Although our snow tends to melt, if it stays piled up in a corner, it will remain intact until spring. I’ll try this. That is beautiful. Mines are still tiny but blooming, how long did plant yours? They look really big and tall.

I got a red/dark pink miniature from the Lowe's clearance shelf for $2.

It had a generic tag with red, yellow, and pink roses on the picture with no name.

Plant it and see what happens. Separate the plantlets first, if any, and plant individually, one foot apart.
