Ladderback chairs? what do stools look like? right now I like the patterned. Did they give a name for the shapes in it, curious if it's sculpted a bit. The other seems casual like berber, but I bet it's expensive.

It matters if art is nearby, and what it's like though, yes? etc....

I don't think either of those rugs enhances your space. I would keep looking.

I agree with Chispa. I would want something that has some contrast. I would go with a rug that had a true color in it.

First it's hard to make a choice because your picture includes pillows that may go away (they're not great choices IMO) and second you have such a mixture of styles: modern sofa, traditional side table, rustic stools and what looks to be a farmhouse style dining area. You need a rug that marries those elements together. We also cannot see the entire space for context. WE also need to see the 2 leather chairs. You are a Pro and ASID?? When you say "custom area rug", what are talking about? Neither rug looks to be custom.

Love the area rug with pattern but not with the accent pillows featured. I would go with silver, black (square) and Tiffany blue (any other shape) solid pillows. :)

If you remove the pillows either rug will work, with the pillows neither rug works.
