I've seen them try to grow them here at the National Arboretum, but they really don't like our 1) cold winters and 2) hot summers and humidity! They can survive, but never look anything like they do out on the West Coast.

They should do well in Oregon zone 8 !

May be edible but far from tasty.

They are everywhere in my neighborhood, even the birds and squirrels don't eat them. Strawberry tree is such a misnomer! You expect a juicy sweet fruit, and it's just bland!
