Finally my favorite Aerides have bloomed....the fragrance is amazing and wafts for many yards....Houlletiana and Odorata...

Those are great looking aerides.....

gotta love aerides. I had all varieties except quinquevulnera. The fragrance is great as well, easy to grow (in sub tropical climate). As a species they are very consistent bloomers. I had an aerides multiflorum with a fox tail like inflorescence hanging down from basket that branched out several times. They love to grow and respond to being well fed.

If you grow vandas, a few aerides are a must to join them. They also keiki frequently which makes for great specimen plants.

I have a vanda that is a cross with Aer lawrenceae. I am so anxious to see it bloom. The sellers photos show beautiful blooms.
