I'm planning lighting for a new lake house with vaulted ceilings and want to make sure I think of everything while electrician putting in boxes. I have a very large great room with an open floor plan to kitchen. We will have a long beam running parallel to floor down the length of the room and the kitchen is on one end. Since I do not know the furniture layout yet and the room may be divided into 2 smaller seating areas I am thinking it may look more balanced with 2 ceiling fans in great room with a long track light attached to beam down the center. The kitchen will have a dining area which I plan to hang a pendant light over small dining table but would like some opinions or advice if I am not thinking of all options. (p.s. i don't much care for can lights but am willing to do if necessary)
