Somewhere there is an FAQ on how to do this, but I cannot find it. You probably can remove the keiki with roots and pot in up in a small pot.

Tks Arthur for the reply. I have also searched the FAQ but fail to find it. I browsed in Youtube and have seen they have demonstrated the Keikis with very long roots potted in a small pot. That appear easy because the roots are long. In this case when I remove the Keiki, the roots are in the air but how does the little plant fit in the pot without the roots. Do I use the regular standard orchid barks for the potting or is there a special barks for Keikis?

If you are in a summer climate, cut off part of the stem the keki is attached to. Pot the baby in some moist sphag. You can turn the plant so the roots find the moist sphag. The new leaves will adjust to the position.

Once cut the roots need to find the moisture. Don't worry about the leaves, they will grow in the right direction. I like to leave a piece of the mother stem attached, but it isn't necessary.

Put the baby in a bright window or outdoors (if in summer) to grow.

Tks Jane for the advice. I am living in Germany. We are now having spring with inconsistent weather from 15 degree C. to 25 degree C.

At the moment, if I cut the keiki, I wish to cut only the bigger keiki with 3 air roots and leave the other smaller keiki with 1 air root to grow a little longer.

Can I use the standard orchid bark instead of sphag.?

Tks Katheeja, I have already done it since 3 months ago and potted them in a standard orchid bark. In fact, it was difficult to hold the keiki firmly to the bark, but I managed it somehow by placing a small toothpick and bind it around the foot of the keiki. So now, this is how it looks as in the photos attached.
