Do you already have good under cabinet lighting?

Is a solatube or skylight a possibility?

1. No other solution unfortunately, have to add to back of house.
2. Yes excellent lighting under cabinet. Looking for great ceiling lighting that would illuminate entire room more.
3. No skylight possible (2nd floor above) - I've heard of solatubes before but if they're like skylights than not possible.

I just saw an article on "closed kitchens". Maybe I should do another search with that in mind + lighting!

any possibility of moving the kitchen to the addition and moving whatever you are adding to where the kitchen is?
