Landscape design help please

We would really appreciate some help. We have a outdated and overgrown landscape that we would like to freshen up and add some color. I took a shot at picking some plants appropriate for our Minneapolis climate but a bit concerned they are going to be crowded and may have gone overboard on color. I don't have much for Photoshop skills but took a stab at it. The plants shown will not all bloom at the same time as shown in the photo.
