will you be painting wallboard? it does look a bit off when painted with semi-gloss... you should test a piece next to painted wood before you commit to your design on the wall.

We do not have a wallboard. Here is a picture of the current situation. We had a chair rail we took out. The painter is working the patching up the lower area and then will prime. The plan is to paint the top an eggshell color, the planks a semi gloss and then in between which is just wall satin. Or should that be semi gloss too?
