Giving a Stained Glass hosta as a gift WILL be remembered every time it is seen! I need 100 of them.

Does anyone have too many Stained Glass?

Any other prolific (fast growers - easily divisible) hostas?

I do have too many Lancifolias and Albo Marginatas.

My first year Stained Glass suffered major frost damage including some mushiness in the crown. It responded with 5 or 6 new little eyes that year and is growing well since then.

I have three also due to a sale situation that I was unable to resist. Since I had three, I experimented with one in a concrete planter to see if it would over winter there. It did. The other two are in-ground planted. They all do well.

ken, you've always been the hosta village curmudgeon. I know exactly why you asked - cause you don't think hostas should be divided. On every level I don't care what you think.

I just bought my first 2 weeks ago. Yours looks great!!! I cant wait til mine looks that good.

Already looking at the bases seeing which ones might soon be ready for further division. A bit of a trick I use when planting a division is to spread the eyes so as to create natural division points. Yeah, 14 Stained Glass would be better than 7.

Some of my Paul's Glory is getting too large!
