The walls and roof are up and now with the large sliding french door roughed in, I'm having second thoughts on positioning of a light over the dining room table. Coming in from the front door is a foyer area then dining area as a part of the open concept between kitchen and living and then a 16' sliding french door going out to a patio with views of the mountains. I am just doing the can lights over the island but had planned on a linear type chandelier over the dining table that minimized view obstruction. The table will be 40x90 with extensions if needed. Just interested in thoughts on height of light? Or no chandelier?? Thanks.
