In a brief on line search, it appears that Yamanaka made fine silk velvets and brocades.
Silk can be rough like homespun...but I think you have a linen cloth with silk embroidery and I would call it a "card table set"...very popular in the 1940's adn 50's....and even later, when people entertained with cards. You might invite friends in for dessert and cards and set the table with a cloth and "bridge napkins", serve dessert and coffee and whip the cloth off and play a few rubbers of bridge.
They were also called a bridge set....because they fit a bridge table.

Your reply was a big help, and in fact I found some 1950s Marghab brand linens on a UK website that look almost exactly like these do, to the point that I'm starting to think this may be a Marghab set put in a Yamanaka bag. Still, you'd think there would be something out there about the Yamanaka & Co. "Pure Fuji Silk" , but the only search result is my old listing for this set before I decided to keep it. As you said, Yamanaka didn't sell everyday items like this, but rather fine art, vases, lamps, silks, etc. The company no longer exists, unfortunately.

Of course, seconds later I realize that the design of the tablecloth is printed on the bag itself, so this is definitely the bag that goes with the set. However, the font used on the bag looks like an old 1915 font based on Yamanaka & Co. advertisement and I can't believe the set would be that old. The embroidery looks much older and machine made, if I had to guess. Hrm.
