Mine is 10 x 12 (or close) and I have two reading chairs, a sewing machine and a cabinet that holds our TV -- there really isn't room for a loveseat too.

From our bedroom -- it is 12 feet long x 10 feet wide

There is probably a couple of feet on the right hand side that isn't in this picture -- it's floor to ceiling bookshelves.
