It is one of the sycamores, though I can’t tell well enough from your photos which one, London plane tree (Platanus × acerifolia) or our native sycamore (Platanus occidentalis), or I think there are some others that are hybrids. The two I listed are the ones that have been most common in the areas of OH where I lived.

I have several sycamore in my yard. Before the balls fall in the spring, I try to make sure that my grass is cut short, as the ball's spurs tangle in the grass, and it is worse the longer the grass.

When they fall I have found that I can handle them with my leaf blower. Blowing is much easier that trying to rake them.
