It doesn't appear to be a bang wang or Dorset horn variety.

Is it due to your climate that things are so slow? I received a bare root at the end of May and it's fully leafed now. Otherwise that mini is charming..would love to see it in flower.

Well it wasn't until about 5 weeks ago that I was finally able to leave them outside. On occassion some of our lows have dipped into the high 40s in the 5 weeks that they have been outside, I just left them out anyways. So maybe that's why. Our lows are generally in the mid 50s during the summer. We will get a week of low 60s and one or two of low 70s.

Yes. I'd love to see it bloom (the mini). Hopefully in the next few weeks. And coral angel too. Should be a beautiful one

Yeah, climate...it's around 100F here and hasn't been below 60 for at least a month or probably two. Coral Angel photo is beautiful!

We will hit 100+ for about 2 weeks off and on. Staring next week. That's when our lows will reach the 60s and one or two 70s

And I won't see much below 90 till September or October :) Yeah, it's quite different.

Lol, yes it is. September I'm really thinking hard about bringing them in at nights.

I usually am able to leave cold intolerant plants out till late October or early November. Sometimes, I'm tempted to take them out in March, but since I'm lazy and expect short cold spells, I usually delay till April.

Hee, I have much more leaves on my new purchase, but you're ahead with having buds already. Hope we both have lovely flowers.

It'll be interesting to see if me with my warmer climate (102 today) will get blooms (though mine just appeared) before yours open. I kinda doubt it..but hey an adenium race might be fun.

Haha. You are on. It's been 103 plus for a few days. A cple of night time lows of 70+. And a cple days of relief to do all over again...the heat.

My Coral angel blooming today

It looks within some tolerance of the vendor photo (being a bit paler and pinker?) Very pretty though. Mine are much bigger, but still weeks away from flowering.

I don't know if high heat has made it pailer and smaller and it took about 5 weeks to bloom it's been 105 to 109 for about 3 weeks and dry

Yes did not rember you getting that plant looked good that plant don't grow very fast I don't think mine has grown any in the last year

I like the flower but the plant could use a little help I have another plant doing the same thing it's grape milkshake both these plants are 3 years old and no bigger than a 1 year old seedling

I tried to buy the seeds but they were out each time, so I bought the grafted plant instead.

One month later , she opened one of the buds. Not at a like the picture, no pink either. It does have a hint of peach around the edges.

Hold onto that one, Alma. It may intensify in color as it matures. You may also get some interesting blooms when you begin cross pollinating.

I have not lived in California for over 27 years. Just bought this one in March- April.

Maria elena, yeah I will keep this one. The only one I want to just get rid of is blue spirit. Cross pollinate? Not me.....

It's even another color than mine I'm going to use different plant food and see it it will change color

They are all lovely! Rinoa told me that colors will be better as weather improves, temps are too hot right now. All my black-red plants from her didn’t look dark at all, turned out mostly reds. We have little more time left this season, hopefully we’ll see colors we want! :)

My blacks bloom black in the greenhouse in the winter and red in summer heat looks like this coral angel is going to do the same thing

A very interesting point. I have a friend who grows all her adeniums on a covered porch ... They get bright light all day but NEVER direct sunlight. Mine are in full direct all day sun. My blooms fade in color after 3 or so days; hers don't. I wonder if my reds like this would be blacker under cover ...

,,, and whether this Blue Spirit could actually gather more of a blue tinge in less sunlight ...

Perhaps an experiment I will conduct with their cuttings.

Mine get bright light now and winter sun. They can hold there colors for a month. Getting a chocolate grape. I will try this experiment.

Maria Elena; many have the color of Blue Spirit doesn't always live up to its pic that is why I hesitate to buy it. Pretty but not quite the color
