Cork kitchen flooring

Hoping to get some advice on our flooring choice for our kitchen. A few details:

-The kitchen is separated from the rest of the main floor (doorways separate kitchen from the rest of the house)

-Rest of the house has original natural oak floors, kind of a honey color. (The oak floor does butt up to the new kitchen floor in the doorways)

-We are planning a bright white kitchen, cabinets are close to Chantilly lace

-Counter tops are white with some gray veins. Backsplash will be a white tile with very light grey grout.

1st question is does going with a natural colored cork work with our very white cabinets/kitchen? The natural color compliments our existing oak floor which is why we are considering it.

I have attached a picture for reference that shows the natural color cork.

Or would it be better to go with a more neutral color? This option likely wont compliment the original oak floor as well.

2nd question, because the kitchen is separate from the rest of the house, do we need to worry that much about the floors working together?
