Things that grow on rocks - my first bonsai

I grew this coontie from seed I found under a plant near the first house I lived in when I came back to Gainesville. It's four years old, but I grew it in native sand, never fertilized it, and left it outside all year -- thus, the very few leaves since it loses its leaves every year. I loved the way it grew on its side, and you can barely see it, but it has a little side-caudex with roots that I'm hoping will grow as well.

The rocks were some I gathered here in my "yard" at the apartment complex, and the bowl is one I got out of a box by the dumpster when someone moved. I thought it looked perfect for a bonsai. The outdoor outlet is for scale.
